J. E. Came (Cherry)

J. E. Came was one of Boston’s major billiard table manufacturers and produced tables of high quality and refined design.

This is an all cherry table (solid and veneer), the significance of which cannot be appreciated until attempting to find other antique cherry pool tables.

The thin cabinet, slender turned legs, carved moldings and skirts combine in an elegant Victorian form that has enough simplicity to showcase the warm cherry wood.

Shown here with original finish removed, prior to repairs or restoration.
