J. E. Came was one of Boston’s major billiard table manufacturers and produced tables of high quality and refined design.
The 19th century billiard table manufacturers almost never used cherry, but J. E. Came was the exception. We have been lucky enough to acquire two of these, very similar but not identical , nine foot tables. The thin cabinet, slender turned legs, carved moldings and skirts combine in an elegant Victorian form that has enough simplicity to showcase the warm wood, and enough detail to provide visual interest and a sense being special.
The table in the large photo above has been sold, but the table in the detail photos below is still in inventory, available for restoration.
