Mahogany BBC” Kling” (Circa 1916)
The photo shown is one of our recent restorations - Mahogany with Ebony, celluloid and Mother-of-Pearl inlay.
The “Kling” was classed as a “Jumbo Frame” table and part of the “elephant leg” family that included the Arcade and the Hudson.
These tables differed only in their decorative architectural elements and the woods in which they were offered.
The “Arcade”, for example, has the inlaid corbels only on the legs, but adds a three-dimensional inlaid “swoop” to the leg that is flat on the Kling.
At this writing we have a nine foot, 6-leg mahogany “Arcade” in unrestored inventory.
